A board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Joshua Alpert completed his sports medicine fellowship at Harvard/Massachusetts General Hospital. Recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for the past decade, Dr. Alpert serves as the team physician for student-athletes at Judson University as well as Larkin, Elgin, South Elgin, and Dundee-Crown High Schools.

His primary goal is helping patients safely return to their favorite activities using non-invasive options like PRP and stem cell therapies, or minimally invasive surgical techniques such as knee and shoulder arthroscopy and shoulder replacement. Dr. Alpert also evaluates work-related injuries, providing Independent Medical Examinations and impairment ratings. As a lifelong athlete, he brings firsthand understanding to helping patients return to sports, work, and daily life stronger than before.
