A board-certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician, Dr. Jake Portillo specializes in interventional spine and musculoskeletal medicine. Fellowship-trained at the Jordan-Young Institute and having completed his residency at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital, Dr. Portillo focuses on non-surgical solutions to help patients restore function and reduce pain.
His expertise includes fluoroscopic-guided spinal procedures across the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar regions, ultrasound-guided joint and soft tissue injections, electrodiagnostic testing (EMG/NCS), and advanced regenerative medicine therapies like PRP and bone marrow concentrate injections. A member of the North American Spine Society and the International Pain and Spine Intervention Society, Dr. Portillo takes an evidence-based, holistic approach to care. Outside of work, he stays active playing basketball, tennis, and pickleball, and enjoys cooking, baking, and gardening.
