Fox Valley’s Dr. Mehta Chosen as One of Naperville’s Most Fascinating Faces of 2011

Dr. Vishal Mehta is a board-certified, fellowship-trained sports medicine surgeon.

Glancer Magazine has named Dr. Mehta as one of the top forty most fascinating people of 2011. And with good reason. Whether caring for patients or connecting with athletes via text messaging, Dr. Mehta is a strong, remarkable presence, a Fox Valley citizen doing amazing things for his community.

Among his many undertakings this year, Dr. Mehta led the charge for concussion awareness through his collaboration with the STOP Sports Injuries campaign, the goal of which is to help keep young athletes healthy. As president and founder of the Fox Valley Orthopedic Research Foundation, Dr. Mehta tests and develops orthopedic implants. He presents his research across the globe to other orthopedic surgeons.

Dr. Mehta is passionate about the patient-doctor relationship and is continuously finding meaningful new ways to communicate with patients in order to foster their well being and help them improve their health.
