Having joined Fox Valley Orthopedics in 2003, Angela brings over two decades of experience to her partnership with Dr. Craig Bartel, specializing in foot, ankle, and lower extremity care. Her background as a softball and wrestling athletic trainer gives her a practical, motion-focused perspective on treating everything from fractures and tendonitis to arthritis and plantar fasciitis. As a board-certified physician assistant, Angela sees patients independently, assists in surgical cases, and performs advanced in-office treatments like PRP, cortisone, and viscosupplementation injections, while also providing specialized foot care for patients with diabetes. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys working on DIY house projects with her husband, gardening, playing with her dogs, and spending quality time with her son and daughter.

Physician assistants are versatile clinicians in our practice. They can perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat orthopedic injuries, order and interpret lab tests, perform minor procedures, assist in surgery, and provide patient education. They extend the ability of our surgeons to care for our patients. PA-C is an acronym for Physician Assistant – Certified, meaning they have their own medical licenses and have passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying exam, among other requirements, before receiving the medical license designation “PA-C”.
