A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Bartel specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle conditions, fractures and musculoskeletal system disorders--bone, joints, ligaments, muscles, tendons, nerves and skin of the lower extremities. Dr. Bartel uses leading-edge surgical and non-invasive techniques to treat everything from arthritic conditions and foot deformities to traumatic musculoskeletal injuries. He has extensive experience in treating:

It is Dr. Bartel’s primary goal to get patients back quickly to a pain-free, active lifestyle with minimal to no restrictions. Surgery is only an option when necessary, with physical rehabilitation and/or anti-inflammatory therapies (such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), cortisone or viscosupplementation injections) used when possible.
A Fox Valley resident for the last 25 years, Dr. Bartel actively supports the community and participates in various fundraisers and events.
